My personal story: I recently cared for my precious Grandmother in our home full time for 3 years. She suffered from Dementia and required 24-hour care. My Grandmother was a wise woman and she did a lot of pre-planning before she became incapacitated. She put everything in place for me to step in and care for her in all areas of her life.
I know first hand how difficult these situations are. Caring for a loved one is one of the hardest and most personal things you will ever do. As my Grandma's health and mobility changed, it was necessary for me to learn new ways to keep her safe and cared for. I was thankful that money was not one of my worries. I was able to focus on caring for her every step of the way, providing for her increasing needs.
As a result, I learned a lot about personal caregiving, tools, and tips for a safe home, financial and legal planning.
I can now share my expertise my Senior Clients and their families. I love enabling them with the resources they need to be prepared. You cannot put a price on peace of mind.
I am committed to helping you and your family achieve your goals and peace of mind for the future. Not everyone can be a caregiver, but everyone can be a good "planner for the future".
So, let me ask you a question. What do YOU want your care to look like when YOU can no longer care for yourself? It is a tough question, and one that must be addressed. Statistics show that 3 out of 4 people will need "long term care" in their lifetime. The average "long term care" need is about 3 years. Of course, some are much longer.
Long term care is custodial care. If you can no longer bathe, feed, toilet, or transfer yourself. This is where "long term care" comes in. This can be done in your home, assisted living or a nursing home.
The average Nursing Home cost annually in Washington State is now almost $100,000.00. How will your family pay for that care? What are your options? That is where I can help you!
Please don't wait until your children are in "crisis management" and under pressure to figure out what you really wanted. Most adult children are in the middle of caring for their own families, raising children, and working at a career. Is your adult child able to quit their job and come home to care for you full time? Most cannot, and more importantly, would you want them to? Most folks want to maintain their independence and have control over their personal care needs.
These are the types of scenarios and strategies that we can work on together. I am here for you and your loved ones! Call me today!
My mission is to educate and empower my Senior Clients with the tools they need to live comfortably in Retirement. With the high cost of Health Care and Prescription Drug costs, many Seniors struggle to pay for their medications and put food on their table. Some are forced to go without medications. This is a heartbreaking scenario that I encounter frequently with clients.
